OSUN PRP GOVERNORSHIP CANDIDATE UNVEILS THREE-POINT “TAKỌ-TABO AGENDA” FOR OSUN 2026

The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) in the 2026 Osun State Governorship Election, Dr. Rasaq Saliu Oyelami, popularly known as Orisunlagba, has unveiled a three-point development blueprint tagged the “Takọ-Tabo Agenda”, aimed at driving sustainable growth and improving the welfare of residents across Osun State.

Speaking on his manifesto ahead of the forthcoming governorship election, Dr. Oyelami outlined three key priority areas that will form the foundation of his administration if elected governor.

Agriculture and Infrastructure

Under the first pillar, the PRP flagbearer pledged to revolutionize the agricultural sector through modern farming initiatives, increased support for farmers, enhanced food security programmes, and comprehensive rural development strategies.

He also promised significant investment in infrastructure, including road construction and rehabilitation, rural electrification projects, improved water supply systems, and other critical facilities needed to stimulate economic growth and improve the living conditions of residents.

Education and Employment

The second pillar of the Takọ-Tabo Agenda focuses on education, job creation, and workforce development.

According to Dr. Oyelami, his administration will implement youth and women empowerment programmes, embark on the recruitment of teachers to strengthen the education sector, and introduce civil service reforms aimed at improving efficiency and productivity.

Other key commitments under this pillar include:

• Prompt payment of workers’ salaries.
• Regular promotion of civil servants.
• Timely payment of pensions and gratuities to retirees.
• Leadership re-orientation programmes.
• Promotion of inclusive governance across all sectors.

He emphasized that education remains the bedrock of societal development, noting that expanded employment opportunities would help reduce unemployment and improve the standard of living of the people.

Health and Security

The third pillar centers on healthcare and security.

Dr. Oyelami pledged to improve access to quality healthcare services by upgrading medical facilities, supporting healthcare professionals, and expanding healthcare coverage across the state.

On security, he stressed the importance of establishing a robust framework capable of protecting lives and property while creating a peaceful environment that encourages investment and economic development.
