Yorùbá Youth Council (YYC) Congratulates Adeleke on Re-election, Calls for Greater Focus on Youth Development

The Yorùbá Youth Council of Nigeria (YYC), Osun State Chapter, has congratulated Governor Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke on his successful re-election as the Executive Governor of Osun State.

In a congratulatory letter dated August 17, 2026, and signed by the State Public Relations Officer, Comrade Omoluabi Joseph Oyelami, the council described the governor’s re-election as a remarkable political achievement and a demonstration of the confidence reposed in his administration by the people of the state.

The council commended the people of Osun State for exercising their civic responsibility and reaffirming their commitment to the democratic process through the ballot box.

According to the YYC, the governor’s second term provides another opportunity to consolidate the achievements of his administration and introduce more policies and programmes aimed at improving the welfare, security, economic prosperity and overall development of the state.

The youth organisation particularly appealed to Governor Adeleke to give greater priority to youth development during his second term, with emphasis on employment opportunities, education, skills acquisition, entrepreneurship, innovation and meaningful youth participation in governance.

The council said the energy, creativity, talents and potential of young people remain critical to the sustainable development of Osun State, urging the government to continue creating an enabling environment for youths to thrive and contribute meaningfully to society.

The YYC also called on political leaders, youths, traditional and community leaders, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to place the interest of Osun State above partisan considerations and work collectively for peace, unity, progress and sustainable development.

The council assured the Adeleke administration of its commitment to promoting responsible citizenship, youth participation, peace, unity and development across the state.

The organisation wished Governor Adeleke a successful, peaceful and impactful second term in office, while once again congratulating him on his re-election.
