One of Osun State’s sports broadcasting personalities, Oluwatosin Oluwasina Owolabi, popularly known as Mr Investigator, has appealed to well-meaning Nigerians, public-spirited individuals and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) for assistance after his house collapsed following a recent heavy downpour.
Mr Investigator, who is known for his sports presentation and comedy, works with Ajagunla FM, Ila-Orangun, where he has entertained and informed listeners through his broadcasting career.
The incident came to public attention after the sports presenter shared details of the disaster on his verified Facebook page. The post was subsequently amplified by popular Osun journalists and on-air personalities, including Olajide Tomisin, popularly known as Street Bishop, and Prince Afolabi Adenipekun Reuben, who called on members of the public to come to his aid.
In a post made available to TheCasterNewsng.com, Tomisin expressed concern over the incident, noting that the broadcaster, who had brought joy to many through his sports updates, had lost his home to the heavy rainfall.
“The man who has brought joy to us, giving us sports updates, has just lost his house to heavy downpour,” Tomisin stated.
He added that footage of the incident showed the building had completely collapsed, leaving Mr Investigator homeless with his wife and children.
Tomisin appealed to individuals, organisations and other well-meaning Nigerians to support the affected family as they struggle to recover from the disaster.
He stressed that assistance could come in different forms, including cement, blocks, roofing sheets, cash donations and other building materials, noting that every contribution would help the family rebuild their home.
Members of the public have therefore been urged to support Mr Investigator through financial donations or material assistance.
