Hon. Olayiwola Oluwawemimo (Oloba Wemmy)
Calls for Quality Representation, Youth Empowerment, Community Development
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Osun State House of Assembly, Ilesa East Constituency, Hon. Olayiwola Oluwawemimo O. Samuel, popularly known as Olobawemmy, has called on constituents to support a new chapter of purposeful leadership and accountable representation ahead of the February 6, 2027 election.
In a message to the people of Ilesa East, Olobawemmy said the forthcoming election presented an opportunity for residents to make decisions that would shape the future of the constituency and secure better representation for the people.
He expressed concern over what he described as a pattern of politicians who engage with constituents mainly during electioneering campaigns but become inaccessible after securing electoral victory.
The ADC candidate urged voters to learn from past experiences and look beyond campaign promises, political propaganda and election-period visits when choosing their next representative.
According to him, the people of Ilesa East deserve leadership that prioritises quality education, youth development, women’s empowerment and infrastructure, while remaining accessible and responsive to the needs of the electorate.
Olobawemmy called on sons and daughters of the constituency to assess candidates based on their character, commitment, vision and willingness to serve, rather than political affiliations or promises.
He stressed that the election was not merely about an individual or political party but about determining the future of Ilesa East and the opportunities available to the next generation.
The ADC candidate also urged residents to unite behind a common vision of progress, insisting that effective representation must translate campaign commitments into tangible benefits for the people.
He appealed to eligible voters to come out peacefully on February 6, 2027, and cast their ballots for him as the ADC candidate for the Osun State House of Assembly.
Olobawemmy maintained that Ilesa East deserved better leadership and called on the electorate to make their votes count for development, accountability and a more responsive political system.
