The governorship candidate of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in the forthcoming Osun State governorship election, Dr. Saliu Oyelami Orisunlagba, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Osun State on the occasion of the Islamic New Year, Hijrah 1448AH.
In his goodwill message, obtained by thecasternews, Dr. Orisunlagba urged the Muslim faithful to reflect on the lessons of the Hijrah, which symbolize sacrifice, perseverance, faith, and commitment to righteousness.
He called on residents of the state to embrace peace, unity, tolerance, and mutual understanding as essential values for the progress and development of Osun State.
The PRP candidate prayed that the new Islamic year would bring peace, prosperity, and divine blessings to every household in Osun and Nigeria at large. He also encouraged Muslims to continue offering prayers for the state and the nation, especially for good leadership, security, and economic growth.
Dr. Orisunlagba reaffirmed his commitment to providing purposeful leadership and people-oriented governance if elected, stressing that Osun deserves a future built on justice, transparency, and sustainable development.
