The member representing Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Sanya Omirin, has described the victory of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ekiti State governorship election as a clear indication of the party’s widespread acceptance and popularity among Nigerians.
In a statement made available to journalists, obtained by thecasternews, Hon. Omirin said the outcome of the election has once again demonstrated that the APC remains the party to beat, owing to its commitment to good governance, people-oriented policies, and sustainable development.
The federal lawmaker congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji (BAO), on what he described as a well-deserved victory, noting that the electorate had reaffirmed their confidence in his administration through their votes.
According to him, the victory is a testament to Governor Oyebanji’s leadership style, developmental strides, and dedication to the welfare of the people of Ekiti State.
Hon. Omirin also commended APC leaders, party members, and supporters across the state for their commitment and hard work, which he said contributed significantly to the electoral success.
Drawing lessons from the Ekiti election, the lawmaker urged the people of Osun State to embrace the path of progress and continuity by supporting the APC candidate in the forthcoming August 15 governorship election.
He appealed to voters across Osun State to cast their votes for Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), whom he described as a competent and experienced leader capable of advancing the state’s development agenda.
Hon. Omirin expressed confidence that an APC victory in Osun would further strengthen governance and accelerate socio-economic growth, just as he believes has been demonstrated in Ekiti State.
The lawmaker therefore called on party faithful and eligible voters to remain united and mobilise support for the APC ahead of the governorship poll, stressing that the party remains committed to delivering democratic dividends to the people.
