Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, has described the initiative of the Ijesa Community Development Assembly (ICDA) as laudable and encouraging.
The governor made the remark on Monday during the launch of the ICDA Cooperative Support Initiative and the presentation of cheque and certificates to cooperative societies across Ijesaland.
Represented by his deputy, Prince Kola Adewusi, Governor Adeleke said Ijesaland remains at the forefront of economic development in Osun State.
He noted that the initiative has, over the years, served as a beacon of hope for sons and daughters of Ijesaland.
He added that the presentation of cheque to successful beneficiaries is a testament to the developmental progress being recorded through the scheme.
He appreciated all stakeholders for their continued support and contributions to the success of the programme, particularly in the allocation and distribution of certificates and cheques to beneficiaries.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of certificates and cheques to successful beneficiaries from all wards across Ijesaland, as well as goodwill messages from dignitaries.
