An Osun-based media manager, journalist and former South-West Zonal Secretary of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Chief Olalekan Fabayo, has congratulated Dr. Tosin Odeyemi on his election as the new Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Osun State.

In a congratulatory message obtained by TheCasterNews  and personally signed by Chief Fabayo, he described Dr. Odeyemi’s emergence as a deserving recognition of his leadership qualities, expressing confidence that he would provide purposeful and inclusive leadership for the council.

Fabayo said Dr. Odeyemi’s election was “a round peg in a round hole,” noting that the new IPAC chairman possesses the experience, competence and integrity required to strengthen the council and promote unity among political parties in the state.

He said the emergence of Dr. Odeyemi at a critical period in Osun’s political landscape would further enhance dialogue, peaceful coexistence and collaboration among political stakeholders ahead of future elections.

The former NNPP zonal scribe also congratulated other members of the newly elected executive committee, urging them to work in harmony to advance the objectives of IPAC and sustain democratic values through fairness, transparency and mutual respect among political parties.

According to him, the new leadership has a collective responsibility to uphold the principles upon which IPAC was founded by serving as a credible platform for consultation, conflict resolution and constructive engagement among registered political parties.

Fabayo expressed optimism that under Dr. Odeyemi’s leadership, the council would contribute meaningfully to the growth of democracy, peaceful electoral processes and political stability in Osun State.

He prayed for wisdom, strength and divine guidance for the new chairman and his executive members as they assume the responsibility of steering the affairs of the council.

Dr. Odeyemi was elected Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Osun State chapter, during an election held on Monday following the expiration of the tenure of the previous executive committee.

The election came months after the IPAC National Executive Committee appointed a caretaker committee for the state, a move that was rejected by the Osun State chapter.

At the election held at Halatria Hall, Osogbo, representatives of 15 registered political parties elected Dr. Tosin Odeyemi of the Democratic Leadership Alliance (DLA) as the new State Chairman, alongside other executive members to pilot the affairs of the council for the next tenure.

Political observers have described the successful conduct of the election as a significant step towards strengthening internal democracy within IPAC, expressing hope that the new leadership will foster greater cooperation among political parties and contribute to peaceful, transparent and credible electoral processes in Osun State.
