HON. ALABA POPOOLA (ALABAMA)
The Accord Party candidate for the Ijesa South Federal Constituency in the 2027 National Assembly Election, Hon. Popoola Alaba Popoola, popularly known as Alabama, has regained his freedom after being arrested and detained at the Police Headquarters in Abuja.
The development comes amid allegations of political intimidation.
Confirming the development to TheCasterNews Correspondent, via a telephone conversation, a stalwart of the Accord Party in Ijesa South Federal Constituency, Honourable Familusi Oladele Isaiah (F.O.I.), said Hon. Alaba Popoola is now free.According to Familusi, the Accord candidate is expected to return to Ijesa Land tomorrow, where he will be received by his supporters and political associates.
He described the release as a welcome development, while reaffirming the party’s commitment to democratic participation and the political aspirations of its candidate ahead of the 2027 National Assembly election.
