The Yoruba Youth Council (YYC), Osun State, has felicitated Muslims across the state and beyond on the occasion of Eid-ul-Mawlid, urging them to uphold peace, tolerance and unity.
The council, in its message by the Council Public Relations Officer Omoluabi Joseph Oyelami, described the celebration of the birth of Prophet Muhammad as an opportunity to reflect on his teachings of love, compassion, peaceful coexistence and respect for others.
YYC Osun called on Muslims and other residents of the state to promote understanding and avoid actions capable of creating division or disrupting peace in their communities.
The council also urged youths to embrace responsible leadership, unity and peaceful coexistence, stressing that collective efforts are needed to build a peaceful and prosperous Osun State.
The Association is also calling on youths to join the association
It wished Muslim faithful a joyous and spiritually rewarding Eid-ul-Mawlid celebration.
