The House of Representatives candidate for Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency under the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Hon. Peter O. Blessed, has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering meaningful development to the grassroots if elected in the 2027 general election.
Speaking during an engagement with Mass Communication HND II students of Interlink Polytechnic, Ijebu-Jesa, A copy of the session obtained by thecasternews, Hon. Peter O. Blessed said his aspiration to represent the constituency at the National Assembly is driven by a passion for community development and a desire to provide effective representation that will attract federal projects, create opportunities, and amplify the voices of the people.

According to the NNPP candidate, his decision to contest the election was inspired by the numerous challenges confronting residents of the constituency, particularly youth unemployment, poor infrastructure, inadequate healthcare services, and limited opportunities for young people.
He stated that he possesses the passion, integrity, accessibility, and vision needed to serve the people effectively, noting that his familiarity with the needs and aspirations of the constituency positions him to provide purposeful leadership focused on service rather than personal gain.
Hon. Peter O. Blessed identified poor road networks, unemployment, inadequate healthcare facilities, limited access to quality education, insecurity, and insufficient federal presence as some of the major challenges facing Obokun/Oriade Federal Constituency.
While acknowledging the importance of addressing all sectors, he emphasized that youth empowerment and job creation would receive special attention under his representation.
