He said poverty and unemployment had continued to affect the country’s social fabric, stressing that parents must take greater responsibility for educating their children, instilling discipline and providing the moral guidance needed to raise responsible citizens.

Olajengbesi particularly urged mothers to bring up their children in the ways of the Lord, noting that proper spiritual and moral upbringing could help young people uphold positive values and make responsible choices.

According to Thecasternewsng.com, He also referred to incidents of killings, youth restiveness and thuggery during the August 2026 Osun State governorship election, attributing the challenges partly to poverty and what he described as misplaced priorities among young people.

The Accord Party candidate called for concerted efforts by parents, community leaders and other stakeholders to address the socioeconomic challenges confronting youths while providing them with the education, mentorship and opportunities needed to fulfil their potential.

He reiterated his willingness to collaborate with the women of Ijesa North on programmes designed to promote women’s empowerment, strengthen families and advance community development.

Describing the Ijesa people as industrious, Olajengbesi urged them to preserve the values of hard work and responsibility associated with their heritage.

“Ijesa people are great people. Ijesa people are hardworking people, and we must uphold the values,” he said.
