A family tracing appeal that gained widespread attention across social media and media organizations in Osun and Oyo states has ended in a joyful reunion, as Mr. Alex Afangbedji Awe and his mother, Mrs. Bola Awe, have finally reunited with Mr. Dele Awe after many years apart.

In a message made available to TheCasterNews correspondent, Joseph Oyelami (Super Blessing), it was confirmed that the reunion followed a viral family tracing campaign published by TheCasterNews, shared by Tolulope Joseph on Facebook, aired on Hope FM Ilesa, and featured on Agidigbo TV Ibadan.

It would be recalled that Mrs. Bola Awe had earlier appealed for assistance in locating her former husband, Mr. Dele Awe. According to her, they were married and last lived together in the 1980s. Their son, Alex, had expressed a strong desire to reconnect with his father and paternal family, prompting the public appeal.

Expressing his joy after the successful reunion, Alex Awe thanked everyone who contributed to the search effort.

“I am happy to finally tell the world, Ilesa and its environs, and Osun State that I have finally met my daddy. Thank you so much, Super Blessing,” Alex wrote.

The successful reunion has been celebrated by family members, friends, and well-wishers, who commended the role played by the media and members of the public in helping to reconnect the family after decades of separation.
