The Osun State Youth Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria (YOWICCN) has congratulated Ambassador Ogundijo Amos Mayowa on his emergence as the Southwest Zonal Chairman of the organisation following what it described as a transparent and keenly contested election.
In a congratulatory message signed by the Osun State YOWICCN Chairman, Evang. Samson Oladele Afolayan (Beulah), the organisation said Amb. Mayowa’s victory reflects the confidence, trust and hope reposed in his leadership capacity, integrity and commitment to the growth of the Christian youth body.
The statement obtained by Thecasternews, noted that his emergence through a rigorous electoral process demonstrated his competence, resilience and credibility, expressing confidence that his leadership would usher in a new era of unity, innovation, accountability and sustainable development within the zone.
According to the organisation, leadership is a call to service, urging the new chairman to lead with wisdom, humility, courage and dedication while promoting inclusiveness, strengthening relationships among members and advancing the vision of YOWICCN.
The Osun YOWICCN also commended other contestants for their sportsmanship and commitment to the democratic process, calling on members across the Southwest to close ranks and support the newly elected leadership for the overall progress of the organisation.
The statement further expressed optimism that Amb. Mayowa’s administration would inspire young leaders, encourage greater youth participation and foster both spiritual and organisational development across the region.
The organisation prayed for God’s guidance, wisdom, good health and strength for the new zonal chairman as he begins his tenure, expressing confidence that his leadership would leave a lasting legacy of peace, progress and transformation.
